Blogathon

Because everybody's doing it, and because I just found out about it and think it's a lovely idea (and because getting my blog up and running again would be worthwhile) ...

I am participating in the 2007 Blogathon. That's right -- from 7AM to 7AM mountain time, I'll be staying up, and updating my Fur Snail blog once every thirty minutes.

Feel free to check in on the blog at any time: I plan to write mostly about my own research, and about interesting new developments in the field of paleontology. It'll be geared to the nonspecialist, but hopefully you can all find something exciting in it.

The pledges I raise will be going directly to Teach for America, an organization dedicated to the education of disadvantaged youth. We need to give these children opportunities equal to those of middle-class white youth, and I hope that I can raise a little money to help support their mission.

So. Wish me luck! I know that most of you don't have the resources to give me anything, but love and cookies on the twenty-eighth would be appreciated. And hopefully you'll enjoy what I put out. Especially when I start feeling really sleep deprived and start rambling about why crocodiles are full of awesome.

Blogathon donations
