Friends Only

  • Dec. 31st, 2020 at 11:59 PM
Bewbs!
dimenshional analysis not goin so gud

Having a great paucity of friends, relations, and so forth, I welcome all and sundry who wish to read this journal (and I, being too nosy for my own good, will read yours back).

When you add me, please indicate what friends filters you want in on. The default is none -- and that'll be writing about daily life, picspamming &c. If you want, you know, actual thought, pick any or all of the following: feminism, science, religion, climbing, or books.

Whee!

After some recent issues with people friending me, I'd just like to make my policy on conduct in this journal clear.

1) Debate is good, personal attacks are not. Disagree with anything and everything I say, or anything anyone else says on this blog, but don't stoop to the level of hurling insults.
2) Telling me what I can and can't say in my own blog is not appropriate behavior.
3) If you make homophobic, transphobic, racist, antisemitic, antihispanic, ableist, sexist, or otherwise bigoted remarks in your own journal, or on forums that I visit, you will be defriended right quick. If you make them in MY journal, I will take all possible action against you, and you will be banned from my journal.
4) I am an angry evolutionary biologist, and am viscerally appalled by creationism and proselytizing religion. This does not mean that I hate religion. It means that you should keep your Bible to yourself.
5) This journal contains adult concepts, and I expect everyone reading it to behave like an adult in context of the journal.

Hi! I saw you on [info]ursulav's blog, thought you had an interesting icon and wandered over here. Lo and behold, you study fossil crocodylians. My girlfriend studies pterosaurs and is completing her Hons. thesis under Steven Salisbury of Queensland. Dunno if you've heard of him.

Anyway, you seem interesting. As for filters: science, religion, books. And hey, any others as well. I like reading interesting posts. Except sex, but thanks for the offer.

You seem nice and sensible, and could be interesting reading, so if you don't mind I'd quite like to be added to your friends list. All the different filters please, I need a distraction from marking assignments.

Hello, I saw you on the zoology group.

I am getting ready to graduate from highschool, upon which I am going to the local community college (for financial reasons), and then I plan on going to the University of Florida to pursue a PhD in Zoology, specializing in herpetology.

Anyway, I noticed we both like reptiles, science, and extinct things.

If you add me I would like to be put on science, religion, and books, if you would ^_^.

I just read your conversation over on CF_hardcore. Thought it was one of the most interesting threads I've seen on there in awhile.

In Ref: To the topic, I shall neither agree nor disagree with you since it doesn't matter. I found the conversation interesting.

My friend request is simply general. I assume it can be changed in the future if I discover that "everything" is far too broad.
